I am pictured here with my niece, Laney. I know she shares in the struggle of conscious eating as I do. She does a great job!

Hi friends!  I want you to remember my moto: Nothing tastes better than thin feels.  You may love that cheeseburger and fries for the five to ten minutes you are eating it, but how do you feel ten minutes later?  Let me guess??  Bloated, indigestion, greasy, nauseated, like you are gonna pop…just to name a few-:)!  Also, it may have temporarily made you feel better about whatever is stressing you, but afterwards you just feel even worse from the guilt of splurging.

Using food as a drug is a viscous cycle.  We have a bad day and feel terrible, sad or maybe even mad.  Next thing you know, you are soothing your woes with a margarita, chips and salsa and a huge plate of mexican food.  Temporarily you feel better, but soon you are worse off than when you started. Not only does your body now feel terrible, but you are now plagued with a heavy sense of guilt.  So,  since the guilt has set in, now you need something else to comfort you.  Ahhh, how about an ice cream Sunday.  Again, it temporarily does the trick until your stomach is churning, you have indigestion, and then the pesky guilt sets in again.  See what I mean?  It is all a circular journey that keeps taking your down the same destructive path.

Let me help you step off this exhausting journey.  I care about helping people, and I want to help you!  It is free, and you can contact me via email anytime,  so what do you have to loose?  I will help you with meal ideas, tips and strategies, and most importantly I will not ask you to deprive yourself or starve to the point of feeling faint.

Someone I love very much did not get the help she needed in time.  She never felt worthy enough, nor loved herself enough to take control of her bondage and set herself free.  Lats face it, life can deal some tough blows and be really unfair.  We have to make a decision to either be a victim, or a survivor.  I am challenging you all to reach down inside you and find that survivor that I know is in there.  You are not alone.  I will be here every step of the way with tips, tricks and meal ideas.  I can also be contacted via email at skinnygirlfatgenes@gmail.com.

“Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.”
- Bible: Ecclesiastes

I hope you will take this invitation friend.  We can do it, I know we can, and I really want to be your friend.  Here’s to saying bye, bye fat Genes, and hello skinny Jeans!

This blog is dedicated to all those I love who have struggled with their weight for so long.  Likewise, to those of us who medicate ourselves and numb our emotions and feelings with food.  I really feel like this is an epidemic in this country.  I hope I can make a small difference.  I hope to hear from you soon friend!

xoxo,

D’Anna
